Writing a CV
What to include:-
Personal information:- name, address and contact details.
Profile:- your current job, what you are looking for next in your career, the strengths you have developed, your personal aims.
Education:- industry based qualifications, higher education, school grades. Include the educational facilities attended and dates.
A resume of your employment to date, beginning with your current position and working backward, including the dates of employment. Indicate the skills and experience gained and used in each post.
Fill in the gaps - if any. Have you spent any time travelling or taken time out to gain qualifications or achieve other ambitions?
Don't forget to include interesting hobbies, always an interesting talking point!
Above all, be clear and concise throughout, read and re-read remembering this account is the key to your future progress. It will be read by strangers. Exactly what does it say about you?
