Interview technique

Allow enough time in your schedule.

Listen carefully to each question and address yourself to the specific point you have been asked to clarify.

Have one or two questions of your own ready which you can ask your interviewer in case they offer you the chance. This can be an embarrassing moment. It is an opportunity to enquire what/who is their main competitor - especially if you haven't been able to find out. Nothing wrong with admitting that fact, it shows you have been looking.

You  may feel it appropriate to ask about their own plans for future development. One or two questions is enough!

Thank your interviewer (the company) for the chance to demonstrate your suitability for the job.  This is also the best time to ask the client about their timescales and when you can look forward to hearing from them and hopefully taking  the next step.

Julie has demonstrated a unique client / candidate relationship skill that has secured me my dream job, even after the company in question had seen their preferred candidate.
